Shark Tank’s Daymond John Teams Up With Gillette

Procter & Gamble names Daymond John of ABC’s Shark Tank as its official spokesperson for Gillette’s Shave Club in an effort to compete with Dollar Shave Club and Harry’s. Gillette is trying to cash in on the monthly subscription razor business and is banking on Daymond John’s branding expertise and popularity, particularly among hipsters. Daymond John is often referred to as “The Peoples’ Shark,” and Gillette hopes that Daymond’s image will attract new customers. Daymond John was also recently named the Ambassador for Entrepreneurship by President Obama.
